  • Playing time is not split equally but each athlete is given playing time during a tournament weekend.  The objective is to provide a higher level of play while developing teamwork and skills.
  • 16-24 players from each grade level will be selected.  The number will vary based on class size and talent as determined by the varsity coaches.  The KAYBC runs several tournaments during the season.  Parents are needed and expected to volunteer to help with selling concessions and collecting entrance fees for all games.  This is an important part of our fundraising to help pay for uniforms, basketballs and tournament entrance fees.

Advanced Level Teams (May to August)

  • Opportunities are available to those athletes who really enjoy the game and want to continue to develop during the summer.  AAU, Players Choice and other opportunities are available.
  • The KAYBC will assist those teams who hold open tryouts and allow each young athlete interested in playing an opportunity to make the team.

All programs are annually evaluated with changes made so that we can best serve the youth and parents of the school district.  We encourage you to support our programs and welcome any comments you have to help us keep Kimberly Basketball # 1.
