Great Tournaments put on by Parents  (January 28, 2008)

"In my seven years of coaching at Peshtigo,  yours was one of the best  run tournaments we have been to.  Thanks again for letting us in and we will be back next year."

Helping When Needed  (November 6, 2007)

On Sunday my daughter took a hard fall to the floor on her back. She's great and back to normal Thank God! It was a scary moment. I want to tell you the following, Dan Kilsdonk was at the same tournament coaching in Oshkosh, they had finished their game and started watching the finish of our championship game. This is when Stephanie had hit the floor and laid there in pain we went out to the floor to see her condition. I tried to calm her down when just like that Dan had come down on the floor next to Stephaine and literally took over the situation and helped clam her down. He asked her lots of questions as to where the pain was and questions about her feet, arms and head. He took her pulse as well. He told me he was and had training as a First Responder.

I never felt so relieved to have anybody around like Dan Kilsdonk. What he did was, took a situation that seemed in a state of panic and clamed it right down to manageable.  There were no other medical people at the tournament, he was the only one. And for that I commend him for his actions in making a bad situation better. And making my daughter Stephaine relax and secure at least until the paramedics came.

If you can mention this in the meeting notes or even in a coaches meeting I think this would be the least to recognize someone's good actions and to promote any type of training in the event something like this every happens again.  My daughter and I have thanked him and yes it might be part of his training to do this but he doesn't feel the relief that he gave us to know what to do and direct the course of action.

Thank God for People like Him.  Ps. my daughter is fine and looks forward to playing the next tournament.   Thank you.  Rene Naranjo

Parents are the Reason for Success  (October 29, 2007)

On behalf of the 7th grade girls travel team, we would like to thank all of 5th & 6th Grade Parents and Coaches for your efforts during this weekend's 7th grade Fall Classic. The comments we heard from all parties said the tournament was one of the best they've ever attended. You can all be proud of your efforts. Not only does it shine a bright light on each of you, but it should also give us pride as a club. The efforts of parents and coaches like you, allows our sons and daughters to play for one of the best clubs in the state at very little cost. This tournament raised thousand of dollars.
Below is an e-mail that Dave Johnson, the head coach of the DePere girls varsity team sent to Kirby Kulas. It pretty much sums up the excellent job all of your did. Again, thank you for donating your time and for all your
efforts in making our club so successful.     Sincerely Wayne Pirman and Dan Kilsdonk

Hi Kirby.
Not sure who was in charge of the tournament this weekend, but they did a GREAT job!!  I thought it was very organized, well officiated, and things stayed on schedule.  Please pass on my appreciation to whoever coordinated it.   Thanks!  Dave
